PSBA has been offering engineering services in the Tri-State Region (Illinois, Iowa and Missouri) with Keokuk, Iowa and Quincy, Illinois offices for 28 years. We have the experience to take a project from conceptual design through construction documents and contract administration.

We have a diversified engineering staff with numerous professionals in the area of civil engineering as well as 2 structural engineers, an electrical engineer, two mechanical engineers, and several certified groundwater specialists. Our staff has experience in the design of roads, highways and interchanges, water, wastewater, sanitary and storm sewer systems, bridges, culverts, levees and flood control systems, railroads, airports and industrial parks, as well as parking lots, landfills and many other types of civil, municipal and regional engineering projects.

Civil Engineering - We have worked on all types of civil projects, including site hydrology and drainage, flood prevention and control, earthwork and grading, highways, bridges and road projects, and numerous civil engineering projects for state, county and municipal agencies, as well as for private clients. This work has included such related items as flood control, utility relocation, parks and recreation areas and parking and traffic management.

Structural Engineering - We have been involved in the structural design and evaluation of numerous projects, including commercial, industrial and institutional facilities, with work encompassing building design, bridges and culverts, special foundations and footings, pump stations, dam spillways, industrial manufacturing and storage facilities, flood gates and other specialized structural projects. We have also been called upon repeatedly to give expert testimony in matters of structural integrity for legal and insurance purposes.

Electrical and Mechanical Engineering - Our expertise also includes in-house capabilities in electrical power and instrumentation systems evaluation and design, mechanical and plumbing systems design, as well as waste water and flood management, environmental impact analysis and asbestos abatement. Our staff has completed educational requirements and certification for sprinkler system design, and has specialized training in medical gases system design and specification.
