Since its inception, PSBA has been involved with various aspects of planning as part of our comprehensive services. PSBA provides plans to coordinate the timing of future development with the provision of adequate urban services. We have experience with highway, utility, and land use planning. Examples of the types of highway and utility planning projects we have been involved with include:

PSBA also has extensive experience in land use planning and providing consulting assistance to communities facing challenging growth related issues. While developing land use strategies for a community, our goal is to enhance the visual quality and image of an area by developing strategies that integrate natural, aesthetic and developed features. Examples of the types of land use planning projects we typically work on include the following:

Zoning Regulations Zoning Variances
Permitting Site Plan Review Submittals to Municipalities
Long Range Planning Studies Urban Design
Site Design Parks and Recreational Area Design
Master Plans

An integral tool used for land use planning projects in the Adams County, Illinois area is the Geographical Information System (GIS) that the PSBA team designed. Some of the GIS information that is typically used includes zoning districts, digital mapping, census tracts and blocks, addresses, road right-of-way, and existing contours. In addition, our staff has extensive experience with conducting public workshops, working with citizen advisory committees, and making presentations at public hearings.

As with any project, we focus on our clients' specific need and create our planning solutions using nationally recognized American Planning Association (APA) standards to ensure quality. PSBA believes that quality growth comes from proper long range planning. Project by project, PSBA builds communities.
