Sullivan County Bridge Replacement, Sullivan County, Missouri
Sullivan County hired PSBA to design a structure to replace a deficient bridge in their jurisdiction. The deficient structure crosses a tributary of Locust Creek. The project was partially funded with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds through the Department of Economic Development, and Off System Bridge (BRO) funds through FHWA.
The new structure is steel girder bridge, approximately 170′ in length, with SL-1 Bridge Rail.
The tributary carries drainage from over a 160 square mile. The new structure was designed to provide adequate freeboard during a 25 year storm event.
PSBA was responsible for the Hydraulic Study, Right-of-way documents, Structural Design, Roadway design, and Construction Administration.
This structure was constructed by Boone Construction Company of Columbia, Missouri.
