PSBA collaborated with a local family whose landmark restaurant was destroyed by fire in 2012 to
design a new state of the art restaurant. After the existing building was demolished, the new building
was relocated to a new area on the site to maximize the parking/loading areas, and for better patron
access.
The one story building contains 7,243 s.f. on the main floor with seating for 212 plus an outdoor covered
patio area. The main floor has a large vestibule, a waiting area with a coat room, three dining rooms, a
large meeting room that can be subdivided into three areas, a bar/dining room, public restrooms and a
large kitchen with a waiter station area, dish washing room, cooler and a large enclosed lift to the
basement to transport supplies. The 2,860 s.f. basement area contains a salad prep and pie baking area,
manager office, dry storage, coolers and a freezer, employee restroom and mechanical/electrical rooms.
The 1.5 acre site has 81 parking stalls, new access drives, new concrete pavement combined with
asphalt resurfacing on part of the existing parking lot, new parking lot lighting and new landscaping. The
parking lot was designed so it could be expanded to the north in the future. The storm water detention
was designed with underground storage tanks to maximize the parking area.
