Parking Lot “I”, Quincy, Illinois
PSBA provided design services to the City of Quincy for a new parking lot located at 6th & Hampshire Street. Services included design improvements to the parking lot surface, lighting and landscaping. PSBA provided construction plans and drawings, special provisions, estimated cost, and bid documents. Work also included coordination with Ameren Illinois to verify the size and location of conduits for future transformers.
Items addressed in the project included survey of Municipal Parking Lot I to ensure proper drainage to inlets and alignment to existing curbs and islands, streets, and alleys; removal of existing surface, removal of trees, new surface design, curb/island repair and replacement, radius at new islands; new lighting with associated conduit and wiring; new meter and base location (coordinated with Ameren); dumpster relocation and new dumpster screen; yard hydrant at the NE corner of lot; associated sidewalk repair; removal of parking meter bases; new trees/landscaping. New surface design was for 6 ½” jointed concrete surface with an alternate bid for 3” asphalt surface; three handicap stalls with signage; and striping. PSBA surveyor’s also provided construction staking which included staking removal items, utilities, site grading and final grade staking for the project.
Parking Lot “K”, Quincy, Illinois
The purpose of this project was to reconstruct the parking lot, install lighting, medians, detention and landscaping as well as the parkway around this lot which is located on the east side of 6th street between Maine and Jersey Streets.
PSBA provided the following services to the City of Quincy: surveying, preparation of construction plans and drawings, specifications and cost estimates, storm sewer/detention, easements and bid documents.
In addition, PSBA coordinated with Ameren Illinois for the removal of existing light poles in the parking lot.
