Mill Creek Water District planned for a new treatment plant on Illinois Route 57. The treatment plant consisted of a 3,000 square foot masonry block building with a metal roof. It was elevated above the 100-year flood elevation on the Mississippi River and was designed to provide basic delivery for well water. It was equipped with a pump station for delivery of the water to the Mill Creek Water District. Part of the project included a 500,000-gallon steel ground storage tank used as a clear well for the Treatment Plant.

The project required approximately 4.25 miles of transmission main and other associated work.

Major items of work include construction of 40’ x 75’-4” masonry block building, installation of 2-split case pumps, 3-submersible pumps, and 1-vertical turbine pump along with process piping and controls.
